Getting started

GoldenHour helps you find verified happy hours and daily drink & food specials near you in the Chicago area. Open Discover to see what’s live now, browse the Map to explore deals by location, and tap any deal for full details, hours, and directions.

Account & sign-in

• Creating an account: sign up with your email, or use Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google.
• Forgot your password? Tap “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen to receive a reset link by email.
• Deleting your account: go to Profile → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account, favorites, posts, and check-ins.

Finding & using deals

• “Happening now” shows deals that are live at this moment; others show when they start.
• Verified deals are community-checked and updated regularly, but hours can change — the venue is always the final word.
• Save a spot by tapping the bookmark on a deal; find it later under Saved Favorites.
• Directions & check-in are available from each deal’s detail screen.
• See a deal that’s wrong or out of date? Email us and we’ll fix it.

Location & notifications

• Location is used only to sort deals by distance and show nearby venues. You can turn it off in iOS Settings; the app still works, sorted by neighborhood.
• Notifications (new or starting-soon deals) are optional and can be managed in iOS Settings → Notifications → GoldenHour.

GoldenHour+ subscription

• What’s included: search, full filters, and plan-ahead browsing.
• Manage or cancel: from Profile → Manage / cancel subscription at any time.
• Restore: if a purchase doesn’t appear, use Profile → Restore subscription, then contact us if it still doesn’t sync.

Submit a deal or list your restaurant

Know a happy hour we’re missing, or want your venue featured? Use Add a Deal in the app (snap a menu photo or enter details), or email us at support@goldenhourgold.com.

Troubleshooting

• Deals aren’t loading: check your internet connection, then close and reopen the app.
• No deals near you: confirm location is enabled, or search a Chicago neighborhood.
• Sign-in problems: make sure you’re using the same method (Apple, Google, or email) you signed up with.
• Still stuck? Email us with your device and iOS version and we’ll dig in.
